Pre-Action Sprinkler Systems are specialized fire protection systems designed for areas where accidental water discharge could cause significant damage to critical equipment, valuable assets or sensitive operations.
Unlike conventional wet-pipe sprinkler systems, the sprinkler piping in a pre-action system is normally maintained without water. A separate detection system initiates the release of the pre-action valve, allowing water to enter the sprinkler piping before the individual sprinkler heads operate.
Pre-Action Sprinkler Solutions
We provide engineered pre-action sprinkler solutions designed for applications where fire protection is required while controlling the risk of unintended water discharge.
Single-Interlock Pre-Action System
In a single-interlock arrangement, activation of the fire detection system opens the pre-action valve and allows water to enter the sprinkler piping. The individual sprinkler heads subsequently operate when exposed to sufficient heat.
This configuration provides an additional level of control compared with a conventional wet-pipe system.
Double-Interlock Pre-Action System
A double-interlock system requires two conditions before water enters the sprinkler piping:
- 1. Activation of the detection system
- 2. Operation of a sprinkler head resulting in a loss of air pressure
This configuration can be considered for areas where accidental water discharge needs to be particularly controlled.
Important: Your website should mention only the pre-action configurations that Prudent Teqtis actually designs/supplies.
